Global cooling alert: Gulf stream weakest in 1600 years

The Gulf Stream is shutting down. That’s bad news for Europe.

Nature article

That’s because the Gulf Stream, which brings warm water up from the Caribbean and runs it along the western coast of Europe, is the only thing that makes London and Berlin not have the same weather as Moscow and Montreal.

The imminent shutdown of the current is happening right in time for Harvard scientists to bring woolly mammoths back from extinction though, which is cool.

Woolly mammoth

The findings were published in establishment science journal Nature. All researchers know that if you contradict the establishment line on man-made global warming, you don’t get published, you don’t get funded, you don’t get invited to conferences with nice sandwiches and name badges and you probably don’t even get your PhD in the first place.… Read the rest

The Problem Of Democratic Sovereignty

This post appeared first on XYZ.

This is the second in a series looking at sovereignty and political legitimacy in Western countries today. The first piece explored the problem of democratic legitimacy under socialism.

The mood among the establishment media has shifted noticeably since the French election. Gone is the post-Trump melancholia. Lovers of the globalist status quo seem to have convinced themselves that Brexit and Trump were just anomalies, and that the new world disorder of open borders, cultural Marxism against whites and unfettered corporate neoliberalism is back on track.

They’re wrong. Macron is a puppet of the globalists, sure, yet the establishment parties which have ruled France for decades were roundly rejected.… Read the rest

No Representation Without Taxation

There is an anecdote in Augustine’s great work ‘City of God’ of a conversation between Alexander the Great and a famous pirate named Diomedes. It was written 700 years after the events were supposed to have taken place, by a man living in North Africa under the Roman Empire just before the lights of civilisation went out permanently there.

In the exchange, Alexander asks Diomedes why he plagues the seas. The pirate contemptuously responds, ‘The same reason as you do the world, but while I operate with one boat, I am called a robber; but since you have a great fleet, you are called emperor.’

This exchange goes to the heart of what makes governments legitimate.… Read the rest

Academics: Smug High Priests Of The Establishment

The establishment media are scrambling these days. Not only are they floundering financially as the internet destroys their business model, they are also losing their century-long control over the narratives that people use to interpret the world. This is the true power of media – to frame the perceptions that the people of a nation use to determine reality. It is the power to direct the herd, to write the history of the future beforehand and determine the boundaries of the Overton Window of socially acceptable speech, and therefore thought.

In democratic political systems, this might be the greatest power of all.… Read the rest

American Totalitarianism Wears A Black Mask

This piece appeared first on The Daily Caller.

It is no surprise that Berkeley, California has become the scene of another significant battle in the culture war which has erupted across America in recent months. Berkeley is a bastion of the American neo-Marxist left and is at the heart of their 60’s mythology. Last weekend though, for the first time in living memory, the totalitarian American left was defeated on their home turf.

The motley assortment of anti-leftists who came to Berkeley to attend a free speech event organized by independent journalist Lauren Southern were able to push Antifa back despite the actions of the Berkeley Police Department.… Read the rest

It’s All About Love

There are a lot of myths about Christians and Christianity that are repeated endlessly in our media, classrooms and casual conversations. It’s a faith that everyone in the West thinks they understand perfectly and have strong opinions about, however the views that people hold are often not based on any solid evidence. Because we might have gone to Catholic school or seen churches around town growing up, we tend to think we know what all that Christianity palaver is about. Familiarity has bred complacency, if not contempt.

The next time you see that old stone church near the centre of town that is now mostly uninhabited, ask yourself: ‘Why did they bother building it?’ Were they really just brainwashed and superstitious?… Read the rest

Totalitarian Censorship On Social Media

This piece appeared first on XYZ.

According to Facebook, I’m a purveyor of nudity on social media. Thankfully my wife hasn’t found out. Wouldn’t make for a great Easter long weekend.

The post in question was an article I shared from altright.com dealing with the mainstream media’s silence about Ebba Akerlund, an 11-year-old victim of the recent Stockholm Islamic attack (the one with the truck in the market, if you can’t keep up). The image in question is this one.

When I look at that image, I’m not offended by ‘nudity’. Given that public censorship of nudity is usually related to sexualisation, I find such an accusation by Facebook to be deeply, deeply revolting.… Read the rest

Thanks For Everything, White Guys

This piece first appeared on XYZ.

Identity politics is the new black these days it seems. You can’t turn sideways without being confronted by another manifestation of it. You open up the Sydney Morning Herald to check in on the propaganda, and Clementine Ford is screeching at you about how she fears for her safety constantly. In Melbourne, probably one of the safest cities in the world for women. Have you seen Clementine Ford? Does Melbourne not have street lights? It’s all very irrational.

Every Monday night on Q&A the cultural Marxist inquisitors of the cult of diversity come together to find more unconquered areas of white male supremacy to colonise.… Read the rest
